Comfort Object Clinic

A Facilitated Performance

Most of us had a comfort object as a child (and some of us still do now!). After years of cuddling, comfort objects usually become slightly deformed. This phenomenon is best described by my friend who said their object became ‚Äúemotionally comfy, but not physically comfortable‚ÄĚ.‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč

‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚ÄčI am opening a comfort object clinic and looking for patients to receive free treatment for their comfort objects. We will be chatting to reflect upon your relationship with the object, and what would be the best alterations to make to your object. Where possible, we will be using sewing equipment to make those decided alterations to your comfort object together.‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč

Testimony from past patient - Zora Pang

"Thank you for the clinic and for fixing my doona cover so i can keep using it. You had a very calming and comforting energy as the facilitator/doctor. The energy flow was slow and steady and warm, like a hot spring. I am also glad that you were so open that we had the chance to discuss some feedback, and I can feel like I have contributed to the development of this art project. "
