"my parents probably wanted to get rid of the old one lol"

Does this object have a historical significance in your life?

"this blanket had a predecessor that i got as a baby and it was white with little ducks on them, but it was tattered through years of love. however, it remained the softest thing ever that i refused to let it go. remember that i was already a young adult when i got this? and yet my parents thought instead of having me straighten up and getting rid of my ducky blanket, they just bought me another one, with dinosaurs. it wasn't as soft but it was just as lovable"

"like something warm, like sleep"

"i needed it to sleep as a kid but now it's just additional comfort or i use it over my eyes like a sleeping mask"

"probably not much, i've grown past relying on it to sleep but i love it while i still have it"
